Harold Levine is a partner of the firm and heads its Tax Practice Group. He resides in the firm’s Manhattan office.
Mr. Levine has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of complex tax law. The scope of his practice is diversified and includes tax planning with respect to real estate, corporate and securities transactions, as well as supporting the firm’s trusts and estates planning group. In addition, Mr. Levine also serves as counselor to a wide variety of business entities with respect to partnership and limited liability company operating agreements, shareholder agreements and other corporate structures.
Mr. Levine also has extensive experience in complex corporate-related transactions and high net worth succession planning. As counsel to a public company, he dealt with the initial development of the company’s corporate structure, compensation issues, buyout of retiring shareholders, and drafting of the documents pursuant to which the company went public. In another transaction representative of Mr. Levine’s practice, he structured a private equity fund, comprised of mostly tax-exempt investors in order to minimize unrelated business taxable income.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Levine was a partner and head of the Tax Group at a leading New York City firm.
