Leslie A. Berkoff Panel Moderator At NBI 2011 Bankrupcy Judicial And Trustee Forum

Leslie A. Berkoff, a partner of the firm, will moderate a panel discussion “Hear The Preferences and Thoughts of Judges and Trustees” at the National Business Institute’s Bankruptcy Judicial and Trustee Forum on Friday, May 13, 2011 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm at the Long Island Hilton Hotel in Melville.

The forum will cover the hottest topics in consumer bankruptcy from the viewpoint of decision makers who work in the field every day. The program is designed to help attorneys and paralegals take their knowledge of bankruptcy law issues to the next level so they can offer their clients the solid, straightforward advice they need during a bankruptcy case. Topics to be covered include: Determining Disposable Income: Chapter 7 and 13, Dischargeability Issue and Denial of Discharge, Chapter 13 Repayment Plan, Automatic Stay and Motion for Relief from Stay, Update from the U.S. Trustee, Avoidance Actions, General Tips from Bankruptcy Decision Makers, Successful Litigation: Key Concepts, and Ethics and Professionalism. In addition, attendees will earn 7.0 CLE credits for attending the forum.
