Leslie Berkoff and Peter Zlotnick, partners of the firm, will both serve as expert panelists at the National Association of Federal Equity Receivers’ (NAFER) Annual Conference on September 15-17 in Washington, D.C.

Leslie’s session “Use of Bankruptcy in Equity Receiverships” will provide an overview of the bankruptcy concepts that may have application in equity receiverships with the goal of enhancing the ability to recover, liquidate and distribute assets.

Peter’s session “Receiver Feud, A Game Show” will test the knowledge of some of the most experienced receivers against each other in the classic family feud format.  Receivers will be asked about difficult and timely issues facing equity receiverships, including handling IRS disputes, filings and refunds, complex in pari delicto issues, unique asset seizures and more.
