Dennis C. O’Rourke Joins Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz LLP

Garden City, New York; March 9, 2006 — Moritt Hock Hamroff & Horowitz LLP has announced that Dennis C. O’Rourke has joined the Corporate/Securities, Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group as Of Counsel.  Managing Partner, Marc L. Hamroff stated that: “Dennis O’Rourke increases the firm’s capacity in, and evidences its commitment to, its growing corporate and securities practice.”

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. O’Rourke maintained a private corporate consulting practice which provided assistance to public companies, and to emerging private companies transitioning to public companies.  Prior to establishing his own consulting practice, Mr. O’Rourke was a partner at the law firm of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek P.C. where his practice included representing issuers and underwriters in initial public offerings, secondary offerings, private placements and mergers and acquisitions.  In addition, Mr. O’Rourke has worked with emerging growth companies in various corporate transactions, including corporate finance and bank financings.

Upon graduation from the United States Naval Academy in 1989, Mr. O’Rourke assumed the position of Communications Officer and Top Secret Control Officer aboard the USS BUTTE (AE-27).  Mr. O’Rourke earned his Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law and is admitted to practice in both the New York State and New York Federal Courts.

Active in the community, Mr. O’Rourke regularly appears before groups of attorneys and major business leaders as a speaker on a variety of legal topics.  His opinion is often sought by business publications and he has been quoted in Long Island Business News on various SEC-related issues.  In addition to his speaking engagements, Mr. O’Rourke has published several articles on timely corporate and securities issues including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
