Gregory G. Calabro, Esq. Appointed To New York City Bar Association’s Civil Court Committee

New York, New York; August 23, 2012 — Gregory G. Calabro, a partner of the firm, was recently appointed to serve a three year term, commencing on September 1, 2012, on the Civil Court Committee of the New York City Bar Association.  Prior to his appointment, Mr. Calabro served, during the last 12 years, on various Housing Court Committees for the Association.

The Civil Court Committee addresses issues pertaining to the New York City Civil Court. The Civil Court has jurisdiction in cases involving claims of up to $25,000.  The Committee focuses on all types of cases brought in Civil Court including commercial landlord/tenant cases, consumer debt collection cases, small claims cases and no-fault insurance cases.

Gregory G. Calabro has over 22 years of experience in all facets of complex commercial and residential real estate and landlord and tenant litigation and transactional matters. His practice includes the representation of commercial and residential landlords, co-op and condo boards, tenant associations and tenants in regard to various real estate related disputes and matters.  Mr. Calabro regularly litigates cases before the New York City Civil Court and the New York Supreme Court.  He also appears on matters before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal agency.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Calabro was the founder and managing partner of Calabro & Associates, P.C., a boutique real estate law firm in Manhattan.  Mr. Calabro earned his Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law.
