Terese L. Arenth, Esq. Appointed Chair Of ABA’s Promotion & Marketing Law Committee

Garden City, New York; August 4, 2011— Terese L. Arenth, a partner in the Garden City law firm of Moritt Hock & Hamroff LLP, was recently appointed by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Intellectual Property Law to serve as Chair of its Promotion & Marketing Law Committee, effective September 1, 2011.

Ms. Arenth concentrates her practice in promotional marketing, advertising and Internet/new media, as well as commercial and corporate litigation. She also has significant involvement in the firm’s intellectual property and unfair competition practice area. She earned her J.D. from St. John’s University School of Law.

Ms. Arenth is an active member of the Promotion Marketing Association and its Government and Legal Affairs Council, as well as its NYC Chapter Committee. She is also an active member of the Direct Marketing Association and the Direct Marketing Club of New York. Ms. Arenth has served as a speaker and author on various advertising, marketing and intellectual property law-related topics, including having served as a speaker and contributing author in connection with the Promotion Marketing Association’s Annual Law Conference and contributing to the ABA’s Annual Review of Intellectual Property Law Developments 2009 and 2010. She is also a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, participating in the Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Committees. Ms. Arenth sits on the Board of Directors for The Women’s Financial Group, in addition to serving as Chair of its membership committee. She has been named as one of Long Island’s Who’s Who in Women in Professional Services for 2010 and 2007 by Long Island Business News.
